Research and Analysis Associate Director - Engineering Plastics

Your Role:

Primary responsibility is to get accurate information on the latest development of new projects and to provide research and analytic support to global engineering plastics team, and convert his or her experience, kledge, insights, and analysis into sustainable, and profitable IHS Markit services. Have extensive industry relationships and contacts.
The responsibility consists of regular detailed analysis of engineering plastics markets through:
1. Research of markets through dialogue with clients and industry related personnel.
2. Contributing analytical and descriptive text and graphics for market reports.
3. Maintenance and development of models for price forecasting, supply/demand, and trade.
4. Coordinating data integrity in conjunction with regional offices.
Specific Job Duties:

  • Maintain the existing clients and develop new potential customers.
  • Follow up the latest progress of new projects. Provide subject matter support for single client consulting projects.
  • Provide market research and analytical support to global engineering plastics team in generating IHS Markit chemical services including monthly engineering plastics market report and World Analysis.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Technical Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of working in Chemical industry / Plastics
  • Significant commercial experience in an engineering plastics business environment which could include positions in product management, supply chain, sales & marketing experience
  • Fluent English (writing and speaking)

Your Team:

Seated in Essen or London with peers and teammates around the world while reporting into a US-based global manager, you will also be working with global stakeholders
