Following successful runs on Broadway and London’s West End, Shrek The Musical has toured around the world and sparked numerous follow-up productions.
Based on the hit movie, the show tracks the journey of the ogre Shrek who lives on a swamp, all alone, just the way he likes it. That is until one day, a clutch of fairy tale creatures, driven out of the city of Duloc by the malevolent ruler Farquaad, invade Shrek’s quiet home.
He sets out to complain to Farquaad, but is told that he must first free Princess Fiona from her captivity. Along the way, he’s joined by a very talkative donkey. Together they must overcome many hurdles until Fiona finally turns out to be - well, you can guess three times...

About Musical Theater Society Berlin
Shrek The Musical is a production by Musical Theater Society Berlin, which was founded in January 2019 by Lauren Stephens. With a desire to share her love of musical theatre with fellow thespians she founded MTS, where expats and native Germans meet to share their passion for musicals in English.
In October 2019 MTS performed their first show, A Walk Down Broadway 2019, to a sold-out theatre in Kreuzberg. Throughout the pandemonium of 2020, they performed over 50 online concerts followed by sold-out performances of Little Shop of Horrors and Rent. Last year, MTS Berlin produced the hit musical Legally Blonde which dazzled audiences throughout its five-show run.
