Your Responsibilities:


  • Lead the integration of electrical systems into the airframe, focusing on the continuous improvement of system design and technical concepts.

  • Develop and define main routing schematics, ensuring alignment with the Electrical Definition Document, including routing definitions and separation coding.

  • Plan and coordinate system installation activities, identifying the required competencies and capabilities to meet specified deliverables.

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers in the co-engineering process within the system installation work package to ensure timely deliverables.

  • Execute and validate the physical installation of electrical systems into the airframe following DMU processes, including the preliminary design of harness installation attachments (B and C brackets).

  • Generate, release, and maintain the electrical installation engineering set, including drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), cable harness components, and other documentation for production and test aircraft.


What You Bring:


  • Demonstrated expertise in systems installation and airframe design within the aviation industry.

  • An advanced degree in engineering (Masters or Ph.D.) specializing in aeronautics, aviation, or mechanical engineering.

  • Over a decade of professional experience in relevant fields related to aircraft development and electrical system installation design.

  • Proficiency in System Engineering development standards such as ARP4754 and familiarity with safety and certification processes, including AC25.1701-1, AMC 20-23, CS-25 subpart H, and Electrical Standards as per AC43.13-1B.

  • In-depth kledge of EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods, and tools.

  • Strong understanding of harness routing and installation rules, encompassing aspects like redundancy, segregations, protections, bend radius, attachment methods, and marking. Familiarity with a 3D harness routing tool is a plus.

  • Experience with manufacturing drawings, including specifications for lacing, marking, and BOM.

  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
